A lot of my close friends have told me that I would make a great father, all for various reasons. Some friends of mine say this because of the stories I tell them about my nieces of when I take care of them. Like how I've had to put my niece, who isn't even a year old yet, asleep countless times, and how I have had to give up my spare time in order to play with my other niece who will be turning 6 this December. Those days usually end up in me cramming in all of my homework into a few hours because of all the time I've had to spend with my niece. I've told I would make a great dad by another close friend of mine because he saw how I always like to have fun, but when accidents happens I always try to be as understanding as possible, and sees that as an essential to parenthood. I don't know whether or not what my friends say is true, but I still know that I enjoy spending time with my nieces and love the idea of having a family of my own someday.

I think this is completely true, and I definitely agree with your friends. I have seen that you know how to have fun, but also know what situations should be taken seriously. Does this mean you aren't really looking for a future career choice right now, or that you are going to focus on paths like elementary school teaching and things like that?
ReplyDeleteI totally see you as a father. There's something about the way you carry yourself: We need a true father. You either die a father, or you live long enough to see yourself become the grandfather. YOU raised those people - that's what you did, what you will do. You're the father we NEED you to be. Not the father we deserve, rather, the father we need, nothing less than a knight in shining armor; That is what needs to happen. Sometimes people deserve more. Sometimes people deserve to be rewarded.
ReplyDeleteSometime, people deserve their dark knight.
That's a great idea Abdul, although I can't say I've seen that side of you, I'm sure it's there. However, how is this related to a career? Just wondering man, how you gonna make money just by having a family?
ReplyDeleteYou should check out Kayla Gaskill's blog. She's writing about motherhood as her "profession". It might be cool to have fatherhood equally represented. There's plenty of literature out there about parenting, including stay-at-home parenting.
ReplyDeleteHonestly Abdul when I first met you, you were one of the nicest and most considerate of people. You could make me laugh and always have a good time. MUHAMMAD!! haha. I think whoever your children will be, will be blessed to have such a great father. Keep telling your jokes, share your stories and I know you'll be a great man when you grow up. And someday I hope that I get to meet your children :)
